How analysis works

Say It Right does not require an account. Offline analysis runs on your device and uploads nothing. If live AI is configured and you choose it, the app asks for consent immediately before each upload. Only the message and screenshot selected for that analysis are sent.

Information stored on your device

Draft messages and selected screenshots remain in the app only while you use the analysis screen. Replies you choose to save are stored on your device until you delete them, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app. Screenshots are not included with saved replies.

Live AI processing and retention

After you consent, selected content is sent over HTTPS to the Say It Right Worker and then to OpenAI to generate the analysis. The Worker requests that OpenAI not store the response as application state (store: false), and the app and Worker do not create permanent copies of the submitted content or response. OpenAI may retain API inputs and outputs in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, unless a longer period is legally or safety-required. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models by default.

Photo access

The app asks for photo-library permission only when you choose the screenshot feature and accesses only the image you select. It stays on your device in offline mode. In live mode, it is uploaded only after the per-request disclosure and consent.

Support messages

If you email support, we receive the email address and information you choose to provide. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, protect the service, and keep appropriate support records. Do not email passwords, financial information, identification numbers, or private conversation screenshots unless specifically requested through a secure process.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell personal information and do not send in-app content to advertisers or analytics companies. Live-analysis content is disclosed to OpenAI only for processing the request you authorize.

Security and deletion

The Worker uses short-lived rate-limit counters keyed by a one-way hash rather than storing raw IP addresses. Use the Safety tab to delete all locally saved replies. You can remove photo permission in device settings. Content already sent for live analysis cannot be deleted through the app because the app and Worker do not keep an account or request history.

Children

Say It Right is not directed to children under 13. A parent or guardian should supervise a minor’s use of communication guidance tools.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the app changes. The effective date will be revised when changes are published. Privacy questions may be sent to sayitrightsupport@gmail.com.
